Night bus will start driving to Hafnarfjörður on the night of Saturday, September 30.
The city of Hafnarfjörður has made a contract with Strætó to start running night buses to Hafnarfjörður, this is a temporary project for three months.
The route 101 will be driven, but with the changes that there will only be stops in Hamraborg in Kópavogur and Ásgarður in Garðabær. Also, the route is slightly longer, and the last stop will be Hamranes. Departures times are from Lækjartorg B at 1:20, 2:25 and 3:45.

Næturstrætó mun hefja akstur til Hafnarfjarðar aðfaranótt laugardags 30. september.
Hafnarfjarðarbær hefur gert samning við Strætó um að hefja akstur næturstrætó til Hafnarfjarðar, um er að ræða tilraunaverkefni til þriggja mánaða.
Ekin verður leið 101 en með þeim breytingum að einungis verður stoppað í Hamraborg í Kópavogi og Ásgarði í Garðabæ. Einnig lengist leiðin örlítið og síðasta stopp verður Hamranes. Brottfarartímar eru frá Lækjartorgi B kl. 1:20, 2:25 og 3:45.

Night bus returns in Hafnarfjörður

On the occasion of International Earth Day, which is held on April 22 each year, Krónan invites its customers to take a bus to the supermarket to reduce traffic by private car on the day and thus contribute to an environmentally friendly way of travel.
The Krónan&#8217;s initiative for Earth Day this year will be done in collaboration with Strætó bs., and everyone who shows up with a reusable shopping bag on a bus in the capital area will get a free ride on the bus April 22.
An ideal way to Krónan
&#8222;Earth Day has been celebrated annually for many years and is intended to remind us to take good care of our earth and environment and above all to encourage people to do their bit. There are many ways to take better care of our environment, including our means of transportation. In the capital area, there are a number of Krónan stores and they are all close to the bus stop. We thought it would be a good idea to collaborate with Strætó and jointly raise this issue, both by encouraging people to use more environmentally friendly means of transport and in the process reminding them to take reusable shopping bags with them,&#8220; says Guðrún Aðalsteinsdóttir, CEO of Krónan.
Working on energy exchange 
&#8222;We welcome this initiative by Krónan and of course encourage as many people as possible to use their reusable bag and get a free ride to the store with Strætó. At Strætó, we place great emphasis on energy saving and aim to replace diesel-powered buses with more environmentally friendly energy sources such as electric, hydrogen and methane-powered buses. Our goal is to have a carbon-free bus fleet by 2030,&#8220; says Markús Vilhjálmsson, head of sales, marketing and service at Strætó.

Krónan invites you on the bus

The annual meeting of Strætó will be held on Thursday, May 2. The meeting starts at 15:00 and will be in Borgir, Hábraut 1a, 200 Kópavogur.
The moderator is Jakob Birgisson, better known as the comedian Meistari Jakob. The main aspects of Strætó&#8217;s work from the year 2023 will be covered, together with the annual report, and there will also be presentations related to public transport. A more detailed program will be announced later.
Everyone is welcome to the meeting, and we especially encourage Strætó users that can to come to the meeting.
Light refreshments will be available.

It is no longer necessary to pre-order the first three trips of route 25 on weekdays, this route is between Spöngin and Gufunes in Grafarvogur.  Up until now, all trips on this route have been in pre-order service, but now the first three trips in the morning will not be, from Spöngin B at 6:52, 7:22 and 7:52.
You still need to pre-order trips at 8:22 and later 30 minutes in advance by calling 540 2740. All trips during weekends are also in pre-order service.

Changes on route 25

Route 93 will run an extra trip on Tuesdays in line with Smyril Line´s sailings. The extra trip will last until Tuesday, May 28, but on June 6, the extra trip will be moved to Thursdays in accordance with Smyril Line´s sailing schedule.
