Lost and found

Personal belongings found on Strætó buses are gathered in Strætó headquarters at Hestháls 14, 110 Reykjavík.

• We recommend looking carefully over the pictures before coming to Strætó headquarters.
• Lost and found items are categorizes by month and each item is assigned a special reference number. It is a good idea to have the reference number with you when sending an inquiry or when claiming an item.
• You can claim your items at Hestháls 14, 110 Reykjavík between 09:00 – 16:00 on Mondays – Thursdays and on Fridays between 09:00 – 14:00.

Lost and found storage time is three months. After the storage time is over, items will be disposed of appropriately.  Clothing will be donated to the Red Cross. Foodstuffs are usually stored for about two days.

Route 15 stops at Hálsar bus stop, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from Strætó’s reception

Routes 16 and 18 stop at Hestháls bus stop, which is approximately a 6-minute walk from Strætó’s reception.
