Strætó has started a trial in order to increase service on route 25 which has service between Spöngin and Gufunes.
The goal of the trial is to see whether it’s possible to increase usage of cars from Pant shuttle service, especially outside of rush hours.
From 1. July the route will have 30 minute frequency on Mondays-Fridays. Currently the service on Mondays- Fridays has 60-120 minute frequency.
Customers call Strætó instead of Hreyfill
The route will remain in pre-order service, but instead of calling Hreyfill customers will call Strætó through the phone number 540 2740. It is still necessary to order trips at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure according to the timetable.
A car from the Pant shuttle service or Hreyfill will be sent to the dedicated bus stop. If a customer uses a wheelchair or has a baby carriage, they need to specifically mention that. In that cases Strætó will get a car from the Pant shuttle service instead of Hreyfill.
In a pre-order service the fare is paid on board the car by showing a Klapp card, Klapp ten or an active ticket in the Klappið app.
This change will take place on 1 July.
