Capital area

Six routes in the capital area operate via full time or part time „pre-order service“. „Pre-order service“ means customers have to book their trips in advance via phone before going to the bus stop.

In pre-order service you can only pay for the fare by showing a bus card, exchange ticket, Klapp card, Klapp ten or activated ticket in the Klapp app.

Evening trips on route 22 and 23 and all trips on routes 25, 26, 27 and 29 are in „pre-order“ service at Pant shuttle service.

To order pre-order service trips on routes 22, 25, 26, 27 and 29 customers must call Pant through phone number +354 540 2740 at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure according to the timetable.

Note: on route 23 customers have to book the bus 30 minutes in advance in order for it to drive out to Jörfavegur. This applies to all journeys on route 23.

Outside the capital area

Two routes in the countryside operate via full time or part time „pre-order service“.

Every trip on route 84 has a pre-order service. To use route 84, passengers must contact Strætó Call Center through phone number +354 540 2700 at least 2 hours before scheduled departure according to the timetable.

Route 92 has a pre-order service during part of the day. To use the pre-order trips on route 92, passengers must contact ÍS-Travel Austurland through phone number +354 892 0955 or send an email to ivar@is-travel.is at least 6 hours before scheduled departure according to the timetable.

Buses with wheelchair access in the countryside

On routes 51 and 57, it is possible to order a bus with wheelchair access.

Note: You can only use certain stops and book trips at certain times.


Local system in Reykjanesbær

Route 4 in Reykjanesbær has a pre-order service.

To use the pre-order service, passengers must call A-stöðin taxi service in phone number +354 4201212 at least 20 minutes before scheduled departure according to the timetable.
