We encourage you to inform us if you have become aware of any possible misconduct in the work of Strætó bs. In this way, you help to inform about crimes that are committed in secrecy and can cause great damage to the public and the local community.

The role of the Internal Audit is to monitor that Strætó’s operations are in accordance with the laws, regulations and articles of association that apply to it, and to examine in particular cases where there is a suspicion of any misconduct. With possible misconduct, e.g. refers to violations of laws or regulations, or when attempting to cover up such violations. It also refers to conflicts of interest that have caused damage to customers and other abnormal business practices or instructions.

It should be noted that tips to the Internal Audit must be based on a substantiated suspicion of possible misconduct, but such a suspicion do not have to be beyond doubt.

All recommendations received by the Internal Audit are assessed separately and it is examined whether there is a need for further examination. Although a suggestion leads to such an examination, the person who made the suggestion is not automatically considered a party to the case and the Internal Audit cannot provide the relevant information on the status of the investigation or development of the case.
