This year Strætó will collaborate with SÁÁ to draw attention to the sale of the Christmas elf, but SÁÁ’s elf sale is one of the organization’s most important fundraising methods. Strætó is proud to draw attention to this important cause.
To mark this occasion, one bus has been decorated with the Christmas elf and one bus stop at Lækjartorg.
Willum Þór Þórsson, Minister of Health, welcomed the first Christmas elf today at the bus stop at Lækjartorg. Of course, the Christmas elf used public transportation and was accompanied the last part of its trip to Lækjartorg by Anna Hildur Guðmundsdóttir, chairman of SÁÁ and Ásgerður Erla Haraldsdóttir, employee of SÁÁ together with Jóhannes S Rúnarsson, CEO of Strætó.
The Elf sale runs from November 29 to December 3, and there will be sales staff in busy places all over the country and on selected days in Strætó.
