Choose a diverse way to travel
Tomorrow European mobility week begins which is from 16 – 22 September. Strætó encourages everybody to participate. Mobility week is a European awareness-raising campaign to improve transports in cities and towns. Since, 2002 cities and towns in Iceland have participated in this concerted effort with municipalities in Europe and Strætó has been involved since beginning.
The aim of the week is to encourage people to think about their own travel habits and encourage them to use public transport, cycle, walk or use other sustainable transport.
The title of mobility week is Choose a diverse way to travel and this year´s theme is Better connections.

- The capital area cycle´s adventures
- Car-free day 22 September – free access to Strætó buses in the capital area
