Due to low attendance on the extra trip on route 55 in the morning, it has been decided to cancel it.
The additional trip was at 7:05 from BSÍ to FS and at 8:20 from Miðstöð to BSÍ.
The last extra trip will therefore be on Friday, December 1st, and the regular timetable will take effect on Monday, December 4th.

This year Strætó will collaborate with SÁÁ to draw attention to the sale of the Christmas elf, but SÁÁ&#8217;s elf sale is one of the organization&#8217;s most important fundraising methods. Strætó is proud to draw attention to this important cause.
To mark this occasion, one bus has been decorated with the Christmas elf and one bus stop at Lækjartorg.
Willum Þór Þórsson, Minister of Health, welcomed the first Christmas elf today at the bus stop at Lækjartorg. Of course, the Christmas elf used public transportation and was accompanied the last part of its trip to Lækjartorg by Anna Hildur Guðmundsdóttir, chairman of SÁÁ and Ásgerður Erla Haraldsdóttir, employee of SÁÁ together with Jóhannes S Rúnarsson, CEO of Strætó.
The Elf sale runs from November 29 to December 3, and there will be sales staff in busy places all over the country and on selected days in Strætó.

Due to construction work at Hverfisgata 100, routes 1, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14 will not drive through Hverfisgata, but will take a detour via Sæbraut. This applies from Monday, November 20 until Friday, November 24, but could be longer.

Detour on routes 1, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14

Changed timetable for route 71 
A new timetable comes into force on route 71 from 6 November. The first trip from Þorlákshöfn to Hveragerði is expedited and leaves at 7:16 to be connected to route 51 which is on its way to Reykjavík. Passengers on their way to Selfoss therefore have to wait a little longer to connect to route 51, but instead there will be a better connection to the trip to Reykjavík.

Bus stop Hólsvegur will permanently be inactive on route 14
From November 6, route 14 will quit stopping at Hólsvegur to keep better time schedule. Next stop is Sunnutorg which is about 150m away.
